After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Fausto Mendonça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Naldo Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santino Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Naldo Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 17th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Fausto Mendonça reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Manzanares. The goal made the score 2-0. Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 25th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Scarlet Speedster's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Naldo Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Naldo Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 29th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Samuel Quirino sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto Mendonça got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Samuel Quirino made in the 37th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jens-Ove Eriksson. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Scarlet Speedster from getting a goal against them. Fausto Mendonça blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. In the 55th minute Fausto Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Naldo Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Fausto Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Secada in the 82nd minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Scarlet Speedster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dom Lugano to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd play minute Abram Secada came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Naldo Proença. 2-1. Abram Secada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Scarlet Speedster.
