Scarlet Speedster's Edward Krzynowek was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thiago Pliego in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Naldo Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Naldo Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Fausto Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Scarlet Speedster's Tomas Wallin managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Felix Garrido in the 43 minute of the game. In the 44th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Casaus to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 46 minutes, Fausto Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scarlet Speedster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mariano Lacasa to make the kick off. Naldo Proença made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 53rd minute. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Thiago Pliego made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Mendonça in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 61 minutes, Fausto Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scarlet Speedster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Scarlet Speedster from getting a goal against them. 68 minutes into the match, Ekialde Nadal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ekialde Nadal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Scarlet Speedster's Samuel Quirino managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Felix Garrido in the 71 minute of the game. Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Scarlet Speedster from getting a goal against them. Naldo Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 76th minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Ekialde Nadal came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ekialde Nadal in the 85th minute of play. Naldo Proença made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 91st minute. 92 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Ekialde Nadal came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Scarlet Speedster fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chile had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
