Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Narcis Domide started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. A hard shot 3 in the game by Narcis Domide from a close distance when the talented Benito Sanz managed to make a qualified save. Costa Rica's players were relieved. After 10 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. Narcis Domide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Narcis Domide. Tym Tym were furious when Lucian Geolgău was red carded, 16 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 16th minute, Lucian Geolgău hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor Angelescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Lautaro Puig charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lautaro Puig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Victor Angelescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Victor Angelescu struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tym Tym. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Puig in the 32nd minute of play forced Tym Tym's goalkeeper Leonard Vlăsiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute Victor Angelescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonard Vlăsiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicodim Bacalbașa in the 40th minute of play. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Axel Tasis kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Tasis got free with Leonard Vlăsiu in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute, Lautaro Puig ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonard Vlăsiu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. During the 78th minute of the match Lautaro Puig completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lautaro Puig a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Tym Tym's Victor Angelescu got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. George Cârneci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tym Tym's Nicodim Bacalbașa got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victor Angelescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Victor Angelescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Tym Tym was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicodim Bacalbașa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Tym Tym lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
