Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kjell Alsvik started the match with the kick off. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Luis Andino took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Oliver Can to make any attempt to save it. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Oliver Can when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 10th minute Kjell Alsvik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Oliver Can tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sanchos short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Oliver Can to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 20th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th play minute Cristian Sancho came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Oliver Can. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Oliver Can in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute of the match La Gallardeta got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rafael Haimar ran over to the corner to take the kick. At last the ball reached Fabricio Milian at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Ecuador. 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Oliver Can. That made the score 4-1 in the 37 minute of play. Kjell Alsvik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell Alsvik in the 44th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Oliver Can showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Oliver Can took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by La Gallardeta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After having played for 60 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 61st minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Can saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Rafael Haimar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafael Haimar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 68th minute of play forced La Gallardeta's goalkeeper Oliver Can to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70thth minute of the game Kjell Alsvik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 76th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. La Gallardeta's Filip Měchura was substituted for Kjell Alsvik. La Gallardeta's Esteban Leizarraga was substituted for Teodoro Delfino. In the 79th minute of the match La Gallardeta got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rafael Haimar ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Fabricio Milian got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Oliver Can showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. La Gallardeta's Filip Měchura was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 85th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oliver Can. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head.
