Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the game, Luca Zorita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Società Vigata Calcio the free kick. Barnaba Kajder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Ariando having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 31st minute of play forced Società Vigata Calcio's goalkeeper Edgardo Ariando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Barnaba Kajder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edgardo Ariando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Barnaba Kajder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Edgardo Ariando could save by the left post. After 73 minutes Società Vigata Calcio's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Luca Rouco made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Società Vigata Calcio's Edgardo Ariando managed to reach the ball for a save. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Facundo Cadaval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Ariando made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
