In the 4th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marin Dică in the 6th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Panait Frânculescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Alexandria Team08's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Panait Frânculescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marin Dică, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute of the match Alexandria Team08 got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Albano Sergi ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Marin Dică drilling the ball in to score 1-2 behind Ecuador's goalkeeper. In the 33rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panait Frânculescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Panait Frânculescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Faustão Abraão got free with Julio Vera in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marin Dică made a kick off. Daniel Zorita in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Panait Frânculescu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Alexandria Team08 fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Alexandria Team08's Marin Dică looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 59 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Marin Dică managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alexandria Team08's supporters rose to their feet, but Marin Dică was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexandria Team08 made a substitution. Péter Bánhegyi replaced Marin Dică. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albano Sergi in the 70th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Péter Bánhegyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Panait Frânculescu in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86thth minute of the game Zhou who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zhou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 91st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. Albano Sergi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Ecuador players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Alexandria Team08 from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
