Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mariano Lacasa started the match with the kick off. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yves Passot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A throw-in in the 7th minute of the game was made by Jose Manzanedo with Francisco Carballar as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Yves Passot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yves Passot's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Chile's Jose Manzanedo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ospetsu Villarmerin in the 16 minute of the game. A hard shot 18 in the game by Yves Passot from a close distance when the talented Thiago Pliego managed to make a qualified save. Chile's players were relieved. The supporters of Montevideo City Torque booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Manzanedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yves Passot in the 25th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Montevideo City Torque's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cristian Leizaur in the 26th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Guillelme Lomas heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yves Passot in the 31st minute of play. The throw-in from Ospetsu Villarmerin in the 36th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Chile's Xavier Figueroa. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Yves Passot sent off a good shot on target. Christophe Troxler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute of the match Chile got a corner. Montevideo City Torque's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Lacasa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Chile's Mariano Lacasa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Christophe Troxler in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Guillelme Lomas came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Montevideo City Torque fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillelme Lomas couldn't finish the play.
The wind increased when Yves Passot made the kick off in the second half. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Christophe Troxler made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yves Passot in the 61st minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute Yves Passot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yves Passot, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Jose Manzanedo kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christophe Troxler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Montevideo City Torque's zone, Francisco Carballar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christophe Troxler came out of the goal and Francisco Carballar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christophe Troxler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Casaus in the 81st minute of play. Mariano Lacasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Christophe Troxler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Carballar to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute of the match Cristian Leizaur shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thiago Pliego showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match was over Chile could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Montevideo City Torque throughout the match.
