In the 6th minute, Isidoro Gimenez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Jaime Pardo in the 6th minute really tested Fabricio Rosalio's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Fabricio Rosalio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 8th minute of play. Formentera's Fabricio Rosalio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Formentera from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hector Covarrubias got free with Fabricio Rosalio in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Formentera's goalkeeper Fabricio Rosalio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Pardo got free with Fabricio Rosalio in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the match, Formentera's goalkeeper Fabricio Rosalio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hector Covarrubias. 24 minutes into the game, Jaime Pardo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabricio Rosalio. Jaime Pardo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Jaime Pardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Fabricio Rosalio made a huge save. In the 28th minute, Jaime Pardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paraguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hector Covarrubias got free with Fabricio Rosalio in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 35 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Isaias Lesardo. Jaime Pardo scored 3-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabricio Rosalio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fabricio Rosalio was a little too slow when Primitivo Escribano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isaias Lesardo to strike the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Juan Diego Tenorio. Isaias Lesardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. Alan Campos kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Isidoro Gimenez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 62nd minute of play forced Formentera's goalkeeper Fabricio Rosalio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Primitivo Escribano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Fabricio Rosalio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fabricio Rosalio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Covarrubias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute, Hector Covarrubias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paraguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Fabricio Rosalio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Formentera defense, Jaime Pardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabricio Rosalio. The Formentera fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabricio Rosalio should have stopped the shot. Fabricio Rosalio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pardo in the 79th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Hector Covarrubias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabricio Rosalio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santiago Maurin charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santiago Maurin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Formentera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santiago Maurin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Formentera's Fabricio Rosalio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 82nd minute of play. Santiago Maurin was shown his second yellow card after 84 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Santiago Maurin kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Fabricio Rosalio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Primitivo Escribano in the 87th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Jaime Pardo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabricio Rosalio. Formentera's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jaime Pardo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. 92 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonardo Arotza. When Hector Covarrubias came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Covarrubias couldn't finish the play.
