André Piovezan had great luck who in the 9thth minute grab hold of the ball when Tomas Berganza from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomas Berganza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving André Piovezan. That made the score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. After 21 minutes of play, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Piovezan was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Itajaí Football Club defense, Isidoro Sarmiento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Piovezan. The Itajaí Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Piovezan should have stopped the shot. André Piovezan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a rather tough play, Itajaí Football Club's Norberto Abreu got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, André Piovezan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After having played for 36 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Itajaí Football Club's André Piovezan got control of the ball when Aaron Barrios tried to sneak it across the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Berganza to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Itajaí Football Club's André Piovezan. André Piovezan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 56th minute of play forced Itajaí Football Club's goalkeeper André Piovezan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Piovezan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Panama's Abraham Alguacil got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Panama booed when Itajaí Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. André Piovezan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Piovezan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Piovezan came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Tomas Berganza. But to his dismay, Tomas Berganza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. In the 93rd minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Piovezan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
