In the 23rd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferit Boğatekin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Rahmad Lunggana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Julian Murillo scored 1-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ferit Boğatekin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Eliseo Mina hit a great ball. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rahmad Lunggana in the 44th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rahmad Lunggana made a kick off. Fábio Koehler struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ. Anthony Alvarado kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Controller Junel in the 56th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was beautiful to see Peru's Luz Tejedor in action when he in the 71st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The audience thought a goal was coming when Milagros Fraga got free with Ferit Boğatekin in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gu Guang Cheng in the 86th minute of the match. Ferit Boğatekin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 89th minute of play. Ferit Boğatekin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eliseo Mina went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Peru eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
