But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. Candido Piedra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Peru were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Altermundi FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Candido Piedra saved Altermundi FC from getting behind. The supporters of Altermundi FC booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Alvarado didn't get a good kick on the ball.
