Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to SuperHantamKuatKuat getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Ken Thu hit a great ball. With a little luck, SuperHantamKuatKuat's Rendy Kosasih got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ken Thu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rendy Kosasih prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the game, SuperHantamKuatKuat's Alif Rangkuti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 30th minute of play forced SuperHantamKuatKuat's goalkeeper Rendy Kosasih to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Anggadiredja in the 35th minute of play. With a little luck, SuperHantamKuatKuat's Rendy Kosasih got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alif Rangkuti to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match SuperHantamKuatKuat got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kunto Makbul ran over to the corner to take the kick. SuperHantamKuatKuat's Kunto Makbul was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rendy Kosasih having to make a save. A collision led to SuperHantamKuatKuat getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Usep Putro hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in SuperHantamKuatKuat's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rendy Kosasih came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 91st minute of play forced SuperHantamKuatKuat's goalkeeper Rendy Kosasih to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rendy Kosasih saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 94th minute. In the 96th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1.
