Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Christophe Troxler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yves Passot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yves Passot in the 31st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Montevideo City Torque's goalkeeper Christophe Troxler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Agustín Álvarez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Christophe Troxler threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yves Passot in the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cristian Leizaur was slow to take the kick. During this time Montevideo City Torque's players had a chance to rest. Christophe Troxler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 44th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christophe Troxler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Montevideo City Torque made a substitution. Reuben Meade replaced Yves Passot. In the 71stth minute of the game Joel Gaona who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montevideo City Torque's Christophe Troxler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 72nd minute, Alberto Tafalla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christophe Troxler was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Agustín Álvarez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dante Lacasa came out and tried to block the shot, but Agustín Álvarez slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 80th minute. Alberto Tafalla made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Montevideo City Torque's Christophe Troxler managed to reach the ball for a save. Christophe Troxler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Montevideo City Torque's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Ticho Covarrubias hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Although Mexico had been in control for most of the match, Montevideo City Torque still came away with the win.
