Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Bela Abeitia started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Lon Abechuco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 3rd minute of play. In the 6th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 8 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11thth minute of the game Bela Abeitia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lon Abechuco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25th minute, Beto Alonso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Real Potosí's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lon Abechuco came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Potosí's Neron Abastas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 1-1 after 30 minutes of play. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bela Abeitia in the 35th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lon Abechuco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bela Abeitia in the 46th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Bela Abeitia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Real Potosí getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Beto Alonso hit a great ball. Bela Abeitia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bela Abeitia, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Duarte Abarca was slow to take the kick. During this time Real Potosí's players had a chance to rest. Lon Abechuco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Lon Abechuco was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Potosí's goalkeeper Lon Abechuco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zorita in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lon Abechuco, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 91st minute of play forced Real Potosí's goalkeeper Lon Abechuco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Real Potosí's Duarte Abarca got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Real Potosí made a substitution. Marques Abenda replaced Neron Abastas. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Real Potosí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duarte Abarca didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute Bela Abeitia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
