When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Isidor in the 19th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Severiano Bernat. Los Magios's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After having played for 27 minutes, Roberto Isidor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Magios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Isidor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso Lon couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Los Magios's Isidoro Endura got a free kick in the 37th minute. When Anselmo Bernal fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Magios's protests and gave Anselmo Bernal a yellow card for diving instead. Anselmo Bernal kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match.

Patricio Costa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 54th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 57 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Isidor came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 73 minutes on the clock, Victorino Jorrin commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Los Magios made a substitution. Ezequiel Pero replaced Isidoro Endura. Los Magios's Higinio Costante was substituted for Alfonso Lon. In the 73rd minute, one of Los Magios:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Los Magios. Severiano Bernat had in the 77thth minute some difficulties stopping Tomas Illescas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Severiano Bernat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 79th minute of play. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severiano Bernat having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Los Magios's goalkeeper Severiano Bernat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. When Los Magios's Dirk Bos in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal.
