Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) In the 2nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. Severiano Bernat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 4th minute of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Los Magios's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Agustín Saelices fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Severiano Bernat quite easily take care of the ball. After 7 minutes Los Magios's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Dirk Bos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 10th minute, Agustín Saelices got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Severiano Bernat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severiano Bernat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severiano Bernat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Magios's goalkeeper Severiano Bernat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 23rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severiano Bernat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severiano Bernat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Andino went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Primitivo Andino the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ecuador protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Primitivo Andino had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! 40 minutes into the match, Los Magios's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Severiano Bernat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Severiano Bernat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dirk Bos made a kick off. Narciso Eutropio hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Severiano Bernat threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristian Sancho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirk Bos, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Angelino Micael kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Los Magios's Julio Austin was substituted for Victorino Jorrin. A collision led to Los Magios getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Angelino Micael hit a great ball. Severiano Bernat made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Agustín Saelices sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Sancho's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute of play forced Los Magios's goalkeeper Severiano Bernat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Magios's Severiano Bernat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 85th minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 86th minute. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Severiano Bernat quite easily take care of the ball. Severiano Bernat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 90th minute of the match. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
