An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute of play forced Limburg United's goalkeeper Sean Van Dijck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sean Van Dijck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Sean Van Dijck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sean Van Dijck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 35th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Fredrik Terwenhout's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fredrik Terwenhout stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emanuel Coekelbergh hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Sean Van Dijck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 54th minute of play. When Limburg United's Fredrik Terwenhout in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fredrik Terwenhout in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 92nd minute, Fredrik Terwenhout ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0.
