Dirk Bos started the match with the kick off. Salvador Amaya charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Salvador Amaya the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th match minute, Los Magios was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Amaya to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Isidor came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Endura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dirk Bos struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Magios. After a rather tough play, Los Magios's Alfonso Lon got a free kick in the 16th minute. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roberto Isidor's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Jonathan Ferrant stood somewhat misplaced when Roberto Isidor came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 20 minute. In the 26th minute Roberto Isidor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Los Magios's Angelino Micael was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Isidor in the 29th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severiano Bernat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Dirk Bos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Dirk Bos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Dirk Bos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. When Roberto Isidor came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Los Magios fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Isidor couldn't finish the play. Los Magios's Severiano Bernat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Los Magios from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Eutropio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Camilo Gaos's late challenge caught a Los Magios's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Gaos helped the player get up and apologised. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute, Dirk Bos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Severiano Bernat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 65th minute of the match. Los Magios's Higinio Costante was substituted for Alfonso Lon. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 73rd minute of play forced Los Magios's goalkeeper Severiano Bernat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Venezuela's Patricio Costa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Severiano Bernat. Severiano Bernat yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 88th minute Dirk Bos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
