When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Armando Fasoli sped through Uruguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. 24 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Claus Caminero came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Claus Caminero got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joaquin Gayoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Armando Fasoli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Armando Fasoli put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Armando Fasoli sped through Uruguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Fasoli in the 32nd minute of play. Vikings Fútbol Club's Mircea Phoenix proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Vikings Fútbol Club from getting a goal against them. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Francisco Seco fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Francisco Seco a yellow card for diving instead. Francisco Seco hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 42ndth minute of the game Armando Fasoli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Vikings Fútbol Club's Tadeo Lartaun got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 45th minute, Francisco Seco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mircea Phoenix was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claus Caminero made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Agustin Jaen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claus Caminero in the 56th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mircea Phoenix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 67 played minutes Vikings Fútbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Lartaun. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claus Caminero in the 76th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vikings Fútbol Club's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mircea Phoenix came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th minute, Camilo Covarrubias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Fasoli. In the 92nd minute of the match, Claus Caminero tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joaquin Gayoso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vikings Fútbol Club eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
