After 23 minutes of play, Società Vigata Calcio's Fabricio Larpe made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edgardo Ariando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabricio Larpe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Società Vigata Calcio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavino Benvide didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barnaba Kajder in the 61st minute of the match. Società Vigata Calcio made a substitution. Vito Corleone replaced Carter Picozzi. Edgardo Ariando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Società Vigata Calcio's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Edgardo Ariando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustín Saelices was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgardo Ariando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Edgardo Ariando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 79th minute, Che Kasten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Barnaba Kajder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Società Vigata Calcio's Paquito Lago got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Fabricio Larpe sent off a good shot on target. 95 minutes into the match, Società Vigata Calcio's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Edgardo Ariando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Società Vigata Calcio players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Ecuador from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
