A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Isidoro Sarmiento hit a great ball. A hard shot 22 in the game by Armando Fasoli from a close distance when the talented Marcos Cotilla managed to make a qualified save. Panama's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claus Caminero in the 24th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claus Caminero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Vikings Fútbol Club were awarded a corner. Claus Caminero went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Vikings Fútbol Club's corner Claus Caminero fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcos Cotilla quite easily take care of the ball. In the 30thth minute of the game Tadeo Lartaun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panama's Marcos Cotilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Panama's Alex Cambeiro got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute of the match, Armando Fasoli got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marcos Cotilla was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Marcos Cotilla was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Claus Caminero showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 41 minute of play. When Aaron Barrios fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Aaron Barrios a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th minute, Aaron Barrios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Tomas Berganza made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Agustin Jaen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claus Caminero in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Cotilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Vikings Fútbol Club's Claus Caminero. But to his dismay, Claus Caminero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Miguel Miralles hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Fasoli in the 59th minute of the match. Mircea Phoenix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 60th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andres Amato during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vikings Fútbol Club's Andres Amato got a free kick in the 62nd minute. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claus Caminero, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute, Armando Fasoli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vikings Fútbol Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After having played for 71 minutes, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abraham Alguacil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustin Jaen, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 81st minute of play forced Vikings Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Mircea Phoenix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Tadeo Lartaun notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Ayala in the 91st minute of play. Vikings Fútbol Club's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
