Mandra Suherman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 5th minute of the match. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mandra Suherman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. In the 23rd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mandra Suherman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Limus Nunggal's goalie prevented a goal. Mandra Suherman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Mandra Suherman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Limus Nunggal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Ekodono didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otang Sugianto hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mandra Suherman came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 70th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Mandra Suherman in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mandra Suherman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mandra Suherman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 83rd minute of play. The Limus Nunggal fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
