Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Renan Fernandes made in the 30th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. 30 minutes into the match, BANDOLEIROS osasco's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Karl Pilgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rdth minute of the game Billy Sandström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eliseo Mina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Karl Pilgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedito Valentim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 played minutes BANDOLEIROS osasco got a freekick which was hit by Beto Toledo. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the game, Peru's Luz Tejedor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karl Pilgren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

BANDOLEIROS osasco made a substitution. José Augusto Nóbrega replaced Ziemowit Haskiewicz. The wind increased when Billy Sandström made the kick off in the second half. Karl Pilgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute, Miromir Hajto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, BANDOLEIROS osasco's Renan Fernandes got a free kick in the 59th minute. The throw-in from Renan Fernandes in the 65th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. With an all-out effort, BANDOLEIROS osasco's Rolando Noboa threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Peter Paul Crouch, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. BANDOLEIROS osasco's Karl Pilgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 70th minute of play. Karl Pilgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 73rd minute of play. Milagros Fraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Karl Pilgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl Pilgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Fraga in the 78th minute of the match. A well done corner resulted in Alonso Berganza drilling the ball in to score 3-0 behind BANDOLEIROS osasco's goalkeeper. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 87th minute of play forced BANDOLEIROS osasco's goalkeeper Karl Pilgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of BANDOLEIROS osasco booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luz Tejedor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Luz Tejedor kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After having played for 93 minutes, Rafael Gallo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Gallo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Peru had won after a very even match.
