Javier Milei's late challenge caught a Bolivia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Javier Milei helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, ✴ ᑭᕮᒪᑌᑕᕼᕮ ✴'s Javier Milei got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After having played for 42 minutes, Mario Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bolivia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Fernandino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Bolivia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ✴ ᑭᕮᒪᑌᑕᕼᕮ ✴ the free kick. A collision led to Bolivia getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Joshua Miralles hit a great ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
