In the 14th minute of the match, Cristian Sancho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rendy Kosasih was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 16 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rendy Kosasih narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Rendy Kosasih tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th match minute, SuperHantamKuatKuat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ken Thu to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Rendy Kosasih in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 31 minutes into the game, SuperHantamKuatKuat's Sapardi Djokodamono nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 35th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rendy Kosasih could save by the left post. 38 minutes into the match, SuperHantamKuatKuat's goalkeeper Rendy Kosasih had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ken Thu in the 42nd minute of play. When Sapardi Djokodamono fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SuperHantamKuatKuat's protests and gave Sapardi Djokodamono a yellow card for diving instead. Sapardi Djokodamono hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. SuperHantamKuatKuat's Rendy Kosasih proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save SuperHantamKuatKuat from getting a goal against them.

The wind increased when Alif Rangkuti made the kick off in the second half. Rendy Kosasih took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of SuperHantamKuatKuat booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kunto Makbul showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Rendy Kosasih took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rendy Kosasih. Rendy Kosasih dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After having played for 85 minutes, Chris Anggadiredja managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SuperHantamKuatKuat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chris Anggadiredja was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 86 played minutes SuperHantamKuatKuat got a freekick which was hit by Usep Putro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 88th minute of play forced SuperHantamKuatKuat's goalkeeper Rendy Kosasih to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SuperHantamKuatKuat's Rendy Kosasih did a great save. SuperHantamKuatKuat's Rendy Kosasih played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 91st minute of play. After a rather tough play, SuperHantamKuatKuat's Sapardi Djokodamono got a free kick in the 92nd minute. SuperHantamKuatKuat were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Ecuador's much stronger midfield.
