In the 15th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birila Graña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maurinho Mendonça. Claretiano FC's Birila Graña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Casaus in the 18th minute of play. Alan Tamayo hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Maurinho Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. Birila Graña came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Thiago Pliego was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Maurinho Mendonça showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 35 minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maurinho Mendonça. 41 minutes into the match, Claretiano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Birila Graña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Claretiano FC's Mikelar Marty slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thiago Pliego. That made the score 4-1 after 43 minutes of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Maurinho Mendonça made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 51st minute of play forced Claretiano FC's goalkeeper Birila Graña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orlando Casaus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Claretiano FC's Dalmu Torre got a free kick in the 55th minute. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Birila Graña. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Gerardo Pozo hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute of the match Chile got a corner. Claretiano FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Lacasa ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Mariano Lacasa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Claretiano FC's Birila Graña did a great save. Felix Garrido was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 67 minutes into the match. Claretiano FC made a substitution. Jon Fuenmayor replaced Mikelar Marty. Chile:s Thiago Pliego showed great skill when he stopped Ruben Malta:s penalty. In the 70th minute, Ruben Malta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Claretiano FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Oliveiro Laso made in the 73rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Harkaitz Xavalera. Birila Graña made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orlando Casaus in the 80th minute. The audience was convinced that Maurinho Mendonça's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Claretiano FC's Norino Tostado got a free kick in the 87th minute. Claretiano FC made a substitution. Qu Lei Chang replaced Favila Ribadas. A hard shot 90 in the game by Guillermo Fontirroig from a close distance when the talented Birila Graña managed to make a qualified save. Claretiano FC's players were relieved. Chile's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
