Fernando Gartxot made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Fernandino in the 9th minute of play forced Pink Floyd's goalkeeper Fernando Gartxot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Pink Floyd booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Jesus Carvallo hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Pink Floyd's Fernando Vela tried to score from far away in the 16th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Lamberto got free with Ricardo Zorita in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the match, Pink Floyd's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Fernandino came free, but Fernando Gartxot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Abram Luque notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Pink Floyd's Fernando Gartxot. Fernando Gartxot was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 28th minute, Rafael Lamberto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fernando Gartxot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Fernandino in the 30th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Moises Fernandino notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Pink Floyd's Fernando Gartxot. Fernando Gartxot was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 45th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Magrina to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Zorita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Lamberto in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Moises Fernandino made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Cristobal Lizer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pink Floyd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristobal Lizer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Damaso Rivas made in the 56th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Cristobal Lizer immediately put the ball in play. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristobal Lizer in the 56th minute of play. Abram Luque hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Cristobal Lizer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristobal Lizer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. 68 minutes into the match, Moises Fernandino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fernando Gartxot, 2-4. Moises Fernandino was extremely unlucky when he, in the 71st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 74th minute, Pink Floyd's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Abram Luque fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cristobal Lizer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Zorita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Fernando Vela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 79 minutes, Mateo Leguizamo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Salvador and the Pink Floyd players grew even worse after the yellow card. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristobal Lizer in the 84th minute of play. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Lizer in the 87th minute of the match. Fernando Gartxot was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Abram Luque capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Abram Luque really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Lamberto in the 95th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The El Salvador players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
