Jefferson Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betinho Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sid Lampard in the 17th minute of play. When Alberto Gisbert fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Alberto Gisbert a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute, Alberto Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Uruguay booed when C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Léo Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uruguay's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Cazalla in the 31st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Victor Ortle managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Ortle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the last second Joaquin Gayoso throw himself and got hold of the ball when Victor Ortle in the 43rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. A collision led to C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C. getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Sid Lampard hit a great ball. Victor Ortle struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C.. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victor Ortle to strike the kick off in the second half. When Sid Lampard came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sid Lampard couldn't finish the play. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sid Lampard in the 57th minute of the match. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Patrick Zanette the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Patrick Zanette had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Camilo Franco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Betinho Moura made a huge save. In the 91st minute, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Betinho Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 94th minute of the match.
