Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club A. Chipa y Tereré. An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 22nd minute of play forced Club A. Chipa y Tereré's goalkeeper Xie Chao Cheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xie Chao Cheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 24th minute of play. Xie Chao Cheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes in the game Macos Graciani did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Joel Gaona. With a little luck, Club A. Chipa y Tereré's Xie Chao Cheng got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 32 played minutes Club A. Chipa y Tereré got a freekick which was hit by Christian Evarado. Xie Chao Cheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 36th minute of play forced Club A. Chipa y Tereré's goalkeeper Xie Chao Cheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Cabral in the 43rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Macos Graciani got a free kick in the 44th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaroslav Nechvátal in the 45th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 46th minute of play forced Club A. Chipa y Tereré's goalkeeper Xie Chao Cheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Jaroslav Nechvátal made the kick off in the second half. Jaroslav Nechvátal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Christian Evarado hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Xie Chao Cheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 55th minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. In the 59th minute, Ciriaco Macias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute of the match Joel Gaona sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xie Chao Cheng skillfully saved the ball. If Bernardo Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaroslav Nechvátal might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaroslav Nechvátal ran back to his position shaking his head. 65 minutes into the match, Club A. Chipa y Tereré's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Luque came free, but Xie Chao Cheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xie Chao Cheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xie Chao Cheng having to interfere. Xie Chao Cheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xie Chao Cheng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Tafalla in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xie Chao Cheng prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Xie Chao Cheng came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Jaroslav Nechvátal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Jaroslav Nechvátal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaroslav Nechvátal got free with Dante Lacasa in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wen Si Yi took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Club A. Chipa y Tereré succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Mexico had controlled the match.
