Sαηgrε Azuɭ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 22nd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernhardt Reshauge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 24 minutes, Rolando Noboa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Alan Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Conrado Rodriguez in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 36th minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute, Gösta Blomqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 42nd minute of play forced Sαηgrε Azuɭ's goalkeeper Bernhardt Reshauge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Peru were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Rodriguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernhardt Reshauge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Alonso Berganza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gösta Blomqvist in the 75 minute of the game. Julian Murillo scored 0-3 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernhardt Reshauge, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sαηgrε Azuɭ's Cirilo Virila was substituted for Conrado Rodriguez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cirilo Virila in the 81st minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliseo Mina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Bernhardt Reshauge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru played a much better game than Sαηgrε Azuɭ and deserved their victory. The Sαηgrε Azuɭ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
