Xie Chao Cheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xie Chao Cheng. Xie Chao Cheng dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jaroslav Nechvátal kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaroslav Nechvátal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Xie Chao Cheng was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Chipa y Tereré fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xie Chao Cheng should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Jaroslav Nechvátal made the kick off in the second half. Xie Chao Cheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 51st minute of play. Mexico's Joel Gaona managed to work through Club A. Chipa y Tereré's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Joel Gaona dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Joel Gaona got in the 51st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Xie Chao Cheng handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. 53 minutes into the game, Gregorio Elixio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club A. Chipa y Tereré's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. In the 53rd match minute, Club A. Chipa y Tereré was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregorio Elixio to maneuver through the defense. Xie Chao Cheng was a little too slow when Luca Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-4. With a little luck, Club A. After 86 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaroslav Nechvátal who took care of the corner kick. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jaroslav Nechvátal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
