The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Birila Graña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute, Mexico's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jon Fuenmayor fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Birila Graña showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 7th minute of the match. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 9th minute. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Birila Graña quite easily take care of the ball. Birila Graña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Birila Graña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 11th minute of play. After 12 minutes Claretiano FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Birila Graña in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 20 minutes into the match, Claretiano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Birila Graña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Felix Luque hit a great ball. The Claretiano FC fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Claretiano FC's Maurinho Mendonça looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dante Lacasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Maurinho Mendonça showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 30 minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon Fuenmayor in the 34th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon Fuenmayor in the 52nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jon Fuenmayor in the 53rd minute of the match. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ruben Malta was slow to take the kick. During this time Claretiano FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Ruben Malta almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claretiano FC's Favila Ribadas was substituted for Qu Lei Chang. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Claretiano FC's goalkeeper Birila Graña, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, Claretiano FC's goalkeeper Birila Graña had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Birila Graña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Joel Gaona fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Claretiano FC's Lluc Alen was substituted for Jon Fuenmayor. After 79 minutes of play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Birila Graña was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 84th minute, Favila Ribadas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Claretiano FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ruben Malta in the 87th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Mikelar Marty heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Favila Ribadas scored 4-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Claretiano FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
