Real Potosí's supporters crossed their fingers, but Neron Abastas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ezequiel Palacios took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Iker Tafalla lost his temper 32 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Paraguay! In the 33rd minute there was a penalty for Real Potosí. Duarte Abarca stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jacobo Nores. 0-3. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Real Potosí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bela Abeitia in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jacobo Nores, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jacobo Nores was a little too slow when Bela Abeitia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-4. Bela Abeitia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bela Abeitia's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bela Abeitia helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st minute, Bela Abeitia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Real Potosí's Savion Abellaneda was substituted for Gustavo Quinteros. 75 minutes into the game, Cilio Abeita threw the ball into play from the sideline. Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them. Real Potosí played a much better game than Paraguay and deserved their victory. The Paraguay players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
