Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Pascu got the match started through his kick off. When Adam Gologan fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta-'s protests and gave Adam Gologan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of El Salvador booed when FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Gologan didn't get a good kick on the ball. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florin Busuioc in the 8th minute of play. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Pascu in the 10th minute of play. Adam Gologan made in the 13th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Florin Busuioc however managed to control. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Pascu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mateo Leguizamo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Nistor Calomfir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino got a free kick in the 21st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Pascu in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Zorita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta- booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abram Luque didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta-'s zone, Moises Fernandino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nistor Calomfir came out of the goal and Moises Fernandino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Pascu, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 38thth minute of the game Daniel Pascu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florin Busuioc in the 39th minute of the match. The El Salvador players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta- were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moises Fernandino made a kick off. Ricardo Zorita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moise Hârlău went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Pascu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ricardo Zorita. That made the score 0-4 in the 58 minute of play. Abram Luque's late challenge caught a FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abram Luque helped the player get up and apologised. After 63 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Abram Luque. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta-'s Gigi Negru slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ricardo Zorita. That made the score 0-5 after 71 minutes of play. In the 75th minute, Moises Fernandino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Pascu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dorel Frântu kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 87th minute Moises Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nistor Calomfir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
