Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Gryffindor Lions's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner ended in Juan Sebastián Puig almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gryffindor Lions's Wilfredo Irrintzi did a great save. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gogo Timo, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute Gogo Vimaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eustacio Gaxan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilfredo Irrintzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute of the match. After 20 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. Manuel Tonio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gryffindor Lions's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilfredo Irrintzi came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gogo Vimaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gogo Vimaro in the 44th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 50th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. 54 minutes into the match, Gryffindor Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Wilfredo Irrintzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Gogo Vimaro notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilfredo Irrintzi was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Manuel Tonio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. The Gryffindor Lions support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
