Agustín Rossi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute, Martin Lain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

A collision led to Frontera AFC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. A nice corner shot did that Silvestre Cisco got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Frontera AFC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
