Craiova-Stiinta-'s Moise Hârlău shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Camilo Freixa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta- reached it. 15 minutes into the match, FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta-'s goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Ferrant came free, but Nistor Calomfir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Tejedor. After having played for 18 minutes, Moise Hârlău managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Moise Hârlău was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 24 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Mario Fernandino. Mario Fernandino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute of the match, Mario Fernandino got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nistor Calomfir was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Pascu in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Camilo Freixa saved Bolivia from getting behind. Bolivia's Camilo Freixa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Pascu in the 37th minute of play. Adam Gologan made in the 44th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Florin Busuioc however managed to control. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Gigi Negru managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Gigi Negru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camilo Freixa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Camilo Freixa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Pascu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mario Fernandino was the one to do the kick off. Alfonso de la Cruz charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Alfonso de la Cruz hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, Bolivia's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Pascu came free, but Camilo Freixa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta- fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta-'s Daniel Pascu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta- booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute of the match, Daniel Pascu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Camilo Freixa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta- players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
