The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Sebastiaan Dijkman fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rolando Noboa, passed just outside the right post. Aloísio Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Aloísio Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aloísio Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 12th minute of play. Peru's attack was well implemented in the 12th minute, but when Julian Murillo was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Aloísio Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. If Sebastiaan Dijkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Zebus FC's Rolando Noboa threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sebastiaan Dijkman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvinho Corrêa in the 23rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Zebus FC's Sebastiaan Dijkman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 28th minute of play forced Zebus FC's goalkeeper Aloísio Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luz Tejedor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aloísio Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Eliseo Mina notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Zebus FC's Aloísio Sergipano. Aloísio Sergipano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Silvinho Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 46 minutes, Luz Tejedor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luz Tejedor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Silvinho Corrêa made the kick off in the second half. Peru's Luz Tejedor got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Peru booed when Zebus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maicon Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvinho Corrêa in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. Julian Murillo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Aloísio Sergipano firmly grabbed it by the left post. Milagros Fraga scored 2-3 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aloísio Sergipano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aloísio Sergipano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luz Tejedor in the 73rd minute. In the 80th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aloísio Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Aloísio Sergipano made a huge save. In the 84th minute of the match, Luz Tejedor tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aloísio Sergipano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 87th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aloísio Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Zebus FC's Cauan Gomes was substituted for Leopoldo Nunes. After 92 minutes of play, Peru's Rafael Gallo made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aloísio Sergipano was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle sounded Peru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Zebus FC.
