The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 51stth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SuperHantamKuatKuat's Rendy Kosasih was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 53 minutes into the game, SuperHantamKuatKuat's Alif Rangkuti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sapardi Djokodamono in the 59th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rendy Kosasih came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rendy Kosasih saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ken Thu in the 84th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rendy Kosasih made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 86th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ken Thu in the 89th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Chris Anggadiredja sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 93rd minute of play forced SuperHantamKuatKuat's goalkeeper Rendy Kosasih to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
