Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Gogo Timo made the kick off and thus started the match. After 2 played minutes Gryffindor Lions got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Gaxan. In the 5th minute of the match, Gogo Vimaro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 6th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Gryffindor Lions's Gogo Timo fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gryffindor Lions's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Cristian Sancho advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-1 in the 14th minute. After 21 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Elpidio Remigio who took care of the corner kick. Americo Tabby hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gogo Vimaro in the 23rd minute of play. After 24 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Elpidio Remigio who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Gryffindor Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Maurino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilfredo Irrintzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gryffindor Lions's Eustacio Gaxan in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. If Gogo Vimaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gogo Vimaro ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gogo Vimaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. 45 minutes into the match, Gogo Timo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Gryffindor Lions defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilfredo Irrintzi. The Gryffindor Lions fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilfredo Irrintzi should have stopped the shot. Gryffindor Lions's Wilfredo Irrintzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 57th minute of play. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gryffindor Lions! When the match had been going on for 63 minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Wilfredo Irrintzi. Wilfredo Irrintzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Deng Hong Ping kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Gryffindor Lions's Wilfredo Irrintzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 76th minute of play. A collision led to Gryffindor Lions getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Deng Hong Ping hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Wilfredo Irrintzi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 84 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gryffindor Lions the free kick. In the 84th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 87 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilfredo Irrintzi. Gryffindor Lions's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. The Gryffindor Lions fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
