In the 13th minute, Moises Fernandino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 19th minute of the match Vic Sevenans shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Zorita showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Elsens kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ricardo Zorita. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. Daniel Elsens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Ricardo Zorita made a huge save. Dylan Van den Broeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Fernandino, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute Moises Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dylan Van den Broeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Waterhoek's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Fernandino came free, but Dylan Van den Broeck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Elsens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Ricardo Zorita made a huge save. 36 minutes into the game, Marco Tamayo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thanks to some nice moves Abram Luque could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Dylan Van den Broeck however easily saved by the left post. Mike Kustermans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Daniel Elsens put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ricardo Zorita. After having played for 64 minutes, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Fernandino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jorge Magrina fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Salvador's protests and gave Jorge Magrina a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute, Jorge Magrina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joshua Curbelo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After 80 minutes, Marco Tamayo made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Waterhoek's Dylan Van den Broeck tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in El Salvador fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Waterhoek a penalty, 87 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniel Elsens, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita. 4-1. Daniel Elsens scored 5-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
