With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Villa in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Younis Al Harban saved Al-Ahli from getting behind. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. In the 19th match minute, Al-Ahli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salah Al Towatan to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Faleh Al Saleh got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emanuel Ocampo kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 28th minute of the match Ebrahem Al Qatam shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lautaro Navarro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Ebrahem Al Qatam in the 32nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Sebastian Villa. The throw-in from Ebrahem Al Qatam in the 34th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Sebastian Villa. Younis Al Harban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 38th minute of play. Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 45 minutes into the game, Ebrahem Al Qatam threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of Al-Ahli booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Villa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Al-Ahli players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Honduras were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Faleh Al Saleh made a kick off. In the 56th minute of the game Ebrahem Al Qatam made a throw-in which Yaqoub Shalan played forward. Younis Al Harban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Sancho in the 57th minute of play. After 64 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Ocampo. Al-Ahli's Ebrahem Al Qatam got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Faleh Al Saleh in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faleh Al Saleh in the 70th minute of the match. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faleh Al Saleh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shaban Al Motaire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The throw-in from Ebrahem Al Qatam in the 76th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. Sebastian Villa might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Younis Al Harban. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Villa ran back to his position shaking his head. When Luca Espinar came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luca Espinar couldn't finish the play. Esteban Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Younis Al Harban. Younis Al Harban yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Al-Ahli's Younis Al Harban proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Al-Ahli from getting a goal against them. When the match was over Honduras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Al-Ahli throughout the match.
