Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Frutos in the 28th minute of the match. Juan Luis Potts got a throw-in 29 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Victor Hugo Pinilla. In the 35th minute, Osvaldo Frutos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. After a defensive mix-up in ♠ ♥ Barrio PiriPoker ♦ ♣'s zone, Eliseo Mina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Ospetsu came out of the goal and Eliseo Mina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind ♠ ♥ Barrio PiriPoker ♦ ♣'s goalkeeper Valentin Ospetsu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru's Milagros Fraga got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 53rd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Ospetsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute, Waldo Ponce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ♠ ♥ Barrio PiriPoker ♦ ♣'s Valentin Ospetsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milagros Fraga in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th match minute, ♠ ♥ Barrio PiriPoker ♦ ♣ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Jose Peacock to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to ♠ ♥ Barrio PiriPoker ♦ ♣ getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Elazar Talamilla hit a great ball. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Juan Luis Potts made a throw-in in the 76th minute of the game. Valentin Ospetsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Karlos Bravo came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ofelio Galván came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rolando Noboa could save by the left post. Rolando Noboa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Karlos Bravo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 84 minute of play. Vitório de Medeiros took the corner. Ofelio Galván could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Peru lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
