After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Fryderyk Jajecznica stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Fryderyk Jajecznica tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwan Ostrowski in the 16th minute of play. Iwan Ostrowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fryderyk Jajecznica might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fryderyk Jajecznica ran back to his position shaking his head. Fryderyk Jajecznica scored 2-0 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zula Zworski's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zula Zworski in the 96th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Spartans Lodz had played much better football throughout.
