After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto Gaspar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th match minute, Corrupção DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Haşim Tanak to maneuver through the defense. Corrupção DMZ's Fausto Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Fausto Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Corrupção DMZ's Fausto Gaspar. Fausto Gaspar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hélder da Rocha scored 1-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Calistrat Scaeru kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Fausto Gaspar made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Corrupção DMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Gaspar having to interfere. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Fausto Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fausto Gaspar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Corrupção DMZ's Diego Armando was substituted for Radoslaw Dlugi. Fausto Gaspar was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute.
