The audience cheered loudly when Agustín Saelices's long shot in the 11th minute became 1-0 when the ball went to the left of and passed Teodoro Ralondo. Leones Bielsistas's Teodoro Ralondo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Leones Bielsistas from getting a goal against them. Herminio Cloyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leones Bielsistas were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cristobal Casado took the corner. The corner led Leones Bielsistas's Cristobal Casado to a score. 1-1 in the 39th minute. Teobald Jazowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Herminio Cloyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teobald Jazowski was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Leones Bielsistas getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Abelardo Mirande hit a great ball. Teodoro Ralondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 67th minute of the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Leones Bielsistas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. When Teobald Jazowski fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leones Bielsistas's protests and gave Teobald Jazowski a yellow card for diving instead. After 83 played minutes Leones Bielsistas got a freekick which was hit by Teobald Jazowski. 88 minutes into the match, Leones Bielsistas's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Teodoro Ralondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodoro Ralondo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game. One of Leones Bielsistas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Teodoro Ralondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Ecuador players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
