The goal made the score 1-0. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Eneko, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute, Justicialista FC's Jan-Ove Påk dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cirilo Eliu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Pascual Carballar got a free kick in the 18th minute. Pedro Manzanares was a little too slow when Caio Pereira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sidnei Teixeira during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Sidnei Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Axel Montenegro was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Maurício Monsanto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maurício Monsanto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 30th minute of play forced Justicialista FC's goalkeeper Cirilo Eliu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 minutes of play, Justicialista FC's Caio Pereira made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Axel Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Cirilo Eliu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Abram Secada received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cirilo Eliu came out and tried to block the shot, but Abram Secada slotted it home off the left post making it 8-1 in the 79th minute. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Justicialista FC's goalkeeper Cirilo Eliu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Ove Påk in the 84th minute of play.
