Cirilo Eliu came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eustacio Cristofol made in the 6th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jan-Ove Påk. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teodoro Eneko in the 8th minute. When Julian Murillo fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peru's protests and gave Julian Murillo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Murillo to maneuver through the defense. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Eneko, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Cirilo Eliu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Teodoro Eneko sent off a good shot on target. 27 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cirilo Eliu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Julian Murillo scored 0-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cirilo Eliu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Caio Pereira struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Justicialista FC. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eden Hazard, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The throw-in from Ariel Joey in the 41st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 43rd minute of play forced Justicialista FC's goalkeeper Cirilo Eliu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan-Ove Påk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. Julian Murillo struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Cirilo Eliu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. The Justicialista FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Ove Påk came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cirilo Eliu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 56 minutes Justicialista FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Peru's Julian Murillo to a score. 0-2 in the 57th minute. In the 65th minute of the game Ariel Joey made a throw-in which Jan-Ove Påk played forward. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eden Hazard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cirilo Eliu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milagros Fraga in the 70th minute. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cirilo Eliu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Luz Tejedor scored 0-3 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cirilo Eliu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
