After 26 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Abram Luque. After a rather tough play, Zippys Talanger's Felix Benett got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Moises Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Karl Wallin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 37 played minutes Zippys Talanger got a freekick which was hit by Gustav Grönberg. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Granberg got free with Ricardo Zorita in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd minute, Nils Vall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 47 minutes, Gustav Grönberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zippys Talanger's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustav Grönberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Zippys Talanger players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. El Salvador were winning 0-1.

In the 52nd minute, Valentino Ferrant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zippys Talanger's goalkeeper Karl Wallin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Salvador's supporters rose to their feet, but Moises Fernandino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl Wallin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zippys Talanger's Axel Granberg got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abram Luque hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Fernandino got free with Karl Wallin in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ricardo Zorita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hubert Dahlgren's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute, Moises Fernandino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Abram Luque hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Hubert Dahlgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched El Salvador eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
