The audience was convinced that Eduardo Fontirroig's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albertinho Donatello was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. In the 10th match minute, Black Hawks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Carlos Abreu to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, Bolivia's Mario Fernandino broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Antônio Carlos Abreu hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 16 played minutes Mario Fernandino shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Black Hawks's Albertinho Donatello to catch but Mario Fernandino was lucky. It became 0-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. In the 19th minute, Mario Fernandino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bolivia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Sydney Alagoano took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Camilo Freixa. Camilo Freixa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Mario Fernandino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertinho Donatello having to interfere. Carlos Fernando Cardozo's late challenge caught a Bolivia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Fernando Cardozo helped the player get up and apologised. Julio Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Bolivia's Camilo Freixa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Bolivia from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Mario Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bolivia's supporters rose to their feet, but Mario Fernandino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albertinho Donatello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfredo Ferrant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Bolivia booed when Black Hawks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Eduardo Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 minutes of play, Bolivia's Eduardo Fontirroig made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albertinho Donatello was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dinei Costa was the one to do the kick off. Eduardo Fontirroig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Albertinho Donatello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 59 minutes, Mario Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bolivia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Fernandino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Black Hawks's zone, Mario Fernandino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertinho Donatello came out of the goal and Mario Fernandino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A very good chance. Mario Fernandino hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Eduardo Fontirroig struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Albertinho Donatello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bolivia. After a defensive mix-up in Black Hawks's zone, Eduardo Fontirroig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertinho Donatello came out of the goal and Eduardo Fontirroig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albertinho Donatello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mario Fernandino in the 85th minute. After 86 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Ferrant. Eduardo Fontirroig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Eduardo Fontirroig had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albertinho Donatello. Black Hawks's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eduardo Fontirroig was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. When the final whistle sounded Bolivia left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Black Hawks.
